Audrey B. Bergeson is an associate at Smith & Lake, LLC where she practices family law. She has experience in divorce, child custody, legitimation and paternity, adoption, domestic violence and protective orders, and is a trained Guardian ad litem. Prior to joining Smith & Lake, Audrey was a pro bono fellow in the Atlanta office of a large international law firm.An honor graduate of University of Southern California, Los Angeles, Audrey received an undergraduate degree in Communication. She is an honor graduate of the Emory University School of Law where she awarded the Custer-Tuggle Award for Excellence in Family Law by the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Audrey is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and serves as the co-chair of the YLD’s Signature Fundraiser committee, in addition to being selected for the 2016 class of the YLD Leadership Academy. Audrey is also a member of the Atlanta, DeKalb and Sandy Springs Bar Associations. In 2017 and 2018 Audrey was named to Super Lawyer® Rising Stars.
As a volunteer Audrey has worked with both the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) and is a member of the Junior Board of AVLF. In addition, she served on the Fulton County Juvenile Court Children in Need of Services Committee (CHINS), established to create a protocol for compliance with the new juvenile code. Audrey has been named to the Board of Advisors for YMCA Camp High Harbour at Lake Allatoona and elected to the Representative Council for the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. She is Class Committee Co-Chair for the 2018 Emory Law Alumni Weekend.
Audrey is a native of Atlanta and currently lives in Decatur.
